Get organised for Christmas in five easy steps.

We all feel the pressure at this time of year with juggling home life, work commitments, social events, family and friends you can sometimes feel overwhelmed with wanting everything to be 'just right' but how do you fit everything in without dropping the ball? Here at acleaner.net we have a step by step guide on how to get organised.

1. Get a calendar and use it!

It doesn't need to be fancy but a good calendar can help you feel more organised. As soon as you get an invitation, commitment or event write it on with the time and place. If you want to be super organised you can colour code family members so nothing important gets forgotten.

2. Present shopping list

With just under 5 weeks to go until Christmas the present list can feel daunting. The best way to tackle the gift buying is to make a list then divide your family and friends into 5 groups. You can then focus on one group each week leading up to Christmas. This will help you focus on which shops to visit and help spread the cost. You can check with family and friends if they have wish lists with popular websites so that you also have time to order anything you can not purchase on the high street.

3. Prepare the house - book acleaner.net

With extra commitments and exciting events you are probably not prioritising the housework. This can lead to feeling overwhelmed at a time of year where you would like things to be looking their best. For peace of mind you can book a pre-vetted, experienced cleaner online at acleaner  or call 02037 728642
At £13.50 per hour and no admin fees or contracts it is the easiest way to get everything you need done.

4. Food shopping list

The food shopping can feel like a mountain of a task but if you split it up like the gift list you can relax later on. Make a separate list for snacks, drinks, dinner, lunch and puddings. Each time you do your regular shop over the next 5 weeks buy some extra items to make sure nothing is forgotten. Be sure to check the use by/best before dates and save any fresh items for the last shop. If you can stock up early with your non perishable items over the next 5 weeks you will not be rushing out on Christmas Eve for any important items.

5. Decorate your home

Remember tip 1 was to buy a calendar? Choose a day when you are free to go through all your decorations and get everything set up nicely and mark it now so you don't run out of time. Set aside some days to either make or buy new ones. It can help you feel festive and keep you motivated if you have a nice clean home that looks the part.
